Community Programs

many VCLA programs are for the community at large and are open to all

While some of the programs at VCLA are only for certain targeted groups, many VCLA programs are for the community at large and are open to all. These programs may be offered when needs or interests are identified, or funding becomes available.

When our community identifies a need, we do what we can to address it. That is why VCLA has been involved in many different projects.

The programs listed here are ones that have been offered. If you are interested in any of these, or have another learning need, please reach out to us to get your name on a wait list or learn more about availability.

VCLA Market Vendors

In partnership with YMCA Immigrant Services, VCLA helps immigrants who are potential food vendors at farmers markets, learn about our Nova Scotia farmers markets, explore menu items that work, and share ideas with other food entrepreneurs. We hold workshops and give in-person support during market days at Kentville Farmers Market.
